"A'nt that a Shame", " Blue Monday "und" I'm Walkin ", ist gestorben.
FATS starb am Dienstag (24. Oktober 2017) um 15.30 Uhr nach Angaben der Leichenbeschäftigten von Jefferson Parish.

Fats Domino named 'honorary grand marshal' for Mardi Gras
NEW ORLEANS — The music of Rock-and-RollHall of Fame performer Fats Domino will "float" through the streets of New Orleans this Carnival season.
Domino has been named honorary grand marshal of the Krewe of Orpheus, the star-studded Carnival club that traditionally parades the night before Mardi Gras.
Although he won't be riding in the March 3 parade, his eldest son, Antoine Domino III, is expected to ride on a float equipped with a piano and speakers to perform his father's greatest hits, such as ''Blue Monday,'' "The Fat Man," "Blueberry Hill" and "Walking to New Orleans."
Other family members are expected to ride and throw coaster-size, gold-record doubloons and other Fats Domino-themed trinkets from the float.
New Orleans artist Michael Hunt has designed a poster to commemorate the occasion. The posters will be autographed by Domino and available for purchase.
Domino, 85, moving a little slow and his speech low, smiled for friends, family and a handful of news media who gathered Friday in his suburban New Orleans living room as he was honored by the Krewe of Orpheus with a medallion proclaiming him honorary grand marshal.
''I'm happy to do it,'' he said, but added that he hasn't changed his mind about riding on a float.

Now Dave's most famous discovery and collaborator has joined him. Fats Domino makes a guest appearance in the video for the new track, "Walkin' Thru New Orleans" from local rapper Y. Sincere condolences, Fats!
Fats' wife Rosemary died in hospital early in March, shortly after Fats' 80th birthday!
Most Fats' fans are not aware of this as there was no obit and no press.
She was 78 years old.

If all goes according to plan, famously reluctant traveler Fats Domino will journey to New York this week to promote "Goin' Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino," the all-star double-CD that benefits the nonprofit Tipitina's Foundation.
Domino and Norah Jones are scheduled to perform "My Blue Heaven" -- her contribution to the "Goin' Home" project -- during Thursday's "Late Show With David Letterman."
Later that night, the Pink Elephant nightclub in Manhattan hosts a Domino tribute/benefit for the Tipitina's Foundation with Ivan Neville, Donald Harrison Jr., Lloyd Price, Leo Nocentelli, Nick Daniels, Olu Dara, Eric Krasno of Soulive and the Maytals' Toots Hibbert, among others.
The following morning, on Nov. 9, Domino is slated to appear on the "Today" show.
